We believe in small groups. At our church, we encourage all of our members to get involved in the small group ministry that best fits their needs. Community and small group prayer is essential for growth in every Christian's faith. In Acts 2:47, the Bible says, "Praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."
It’s great to be a kid at East McFarland Baptist Church! Our kid’s ministry offers programs during our service time for kid’s pre-k through grade 5. We provide a safe, encouraging environment for children to experience age-appropriate Bible teaching. Each Sunday at 10 am, children are invited to attend EMBC's Children's Extended Service. Our Extended Service leaders are highly qualified and count it a blessing to work with our children, which offers parents a peace-of-mind. Our Children's Ministry also offers the "Girls in Action" program. We want kids and their parents to have the best experience at EMBC!
We accept students where they are and we are eager to help guide them towards God. Our youth pastor models the journey of faith and shows what a life in Christ really looks like. We encourage students to go deeper in their relationships with God and challenge them to ask questions and experience Jesus Christ honestly.
Young Adult Ministry
The East McFarland Baptist Church Young Adult Ministry is for anyone aged between 18-24 years old. We will grow in our relationship with God through community learning, serving the church and experiencing the journey of following Jesus Christ together.
No matter where we come from, we are all called to constantly grow closer to Jesus, to deepen our relationships within our community, and to reach others with the love of God. At EMBC we encourage you to live with God and for God. We believe that when we worship Him together, we are reminded of our identity in Jesus Christ as his children.
The music ministry at EMBC exists to lead the Body of Christ in the authentic worship of God. In our music ministry, people of all different skill levels come together to use their gifts to serve. Everyone is welcome to worship with us at choir practice each Wednesday night at 7:30. We would love for you to join us in honoring God and sharing His name through song.
Reaching the people of God in other lands is an important part of the Christian mission. Here at EMBC, we love gathering teams to travel overseas to share the gospel of our Lord.
In our effort to be an all-inclusive community of loving people living out the story of God, EMBC seeks to serve the Deaf Community and to involve others in learning sign language as well. EMBC offers sign language during all of our worship services, and we also have a Deaf Ministry Sunday School class that meets every Sunday morning at 9:00 am in the educational building. The class is lead by Susan Gordon and Teresa Mello.
Even the youngest ones are welcome at our church! At EMBC we have a nursery in our second building so parents can worship in our sanctuary without any distractions. Our nursery workers have a true calling for caring for the babies and toddlers in our church, so our parents can freely worship with a peace of mind that their children are in the best hands.
Vacation Bible School
Each Sunday our children are provided an opportunity to participate in the morning worship service by giving their offerings to the Vacation Bible School fund. It is a joy to see their smiling faces and the enthusiasm with which they make their way to the front of the church to place their offering in the VBS offering basket. They are also given the opportunity to collect the offering and eagerly sign-up to participate. This is a special time of the worship service not only for the children but also for the adults. If you are interested in volunteering within our Vacation Bible School Ministry, please contact NAME.
